Do you love the outdoors, tamariki, and playing in nature? Everyone Out Nature School is on the hunt for an energetic, creative, and patient kaiako to inspire tamariki (ages 5–12) through play and exploration in the great outdoors.

The Role:

We are currently looking for kaiako and assistant kaiako during the school term. Current roles are 1 or 2 days per week with the possibility of increasing days in Term 2.

📍 Our currently locations are Island Bay and Wilton in Wellington and soon a new venue starting in Lower Hutt.

📅 Starting in Term 1 2025 (eek get in touch ASAP)

You’ll Be:

🌟 Supporting tamariki to learn and grow through nature-based play

🌟 Observing and extending their curiosity and creativity

🌟 Guiding activities like fire-making, campfire cooking and making art with natural resources

You’ll Need:

✔️ Experience working with tamariki (bonus if it’s outdoors and/or play based!)

✔️ A passion for the environment & NZ bush knowledge

✔️ Respect for Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori & basic te reo skills

✔️ A current First Aid certificate (or willingness to get one)

✔️ Understanding of the needs of neuro-divergent tamariki
